12: Now anyone who builds on that foundation may use gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw.
2 Timothy 4:3
- For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear.

- Such rules are mere human teaching about things that are gone as soon as we use them.
Isaiah 54:11
- "O storm-battered city, troubled and desolate! I will rebuild you on a foundation of sapphires and make the walls of your houses from precious jewels.
- I will make your towers of sparkling rubies and your gates and walls of shining gems.
- I will teach all your citizens, and their prosperity will be great.

- But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will go on deceiving others, and they themselves will be deceived.

- Some false teachers may deny these things, but these are the sound, wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, and they are the foundation for a godly life.
1 Peter 1:7
- These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. - They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanksgiving by people who know and believe the truth.
Revelation 3:18
- I advise you to buy gold from me--gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. And also buy white garments so you will not be shamed by your nakedness. And buy ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see.
Romans 16:17
- And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people's faith by teaching things that are contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.

- If anyone is causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with that person.
- For people like that have turned away from the truth. They are sinning, and they condemn themselves.
